GSoC 2026 Application - Benchmarks and Performance Project

 Hi SymPy Community,

My name is Nikita Kushwaha, a B.Tech student in Computer Science and Data Science at Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

I am interested in applying for the GSoC 2026 Benchmarks and Performance project.

I have experience with Python and machine learning and have worked on data-driven projects. I have already:

- Identified issue #28322(imporve import speed)

- Run import timing tests showing sympy.core(2907ms)

- Posted my findings on the GitHub issue.

I would love to work on: 

- Moving benchmarks to sympy_benchmarks repo

- Adding new benchmarks

- Improving important speed via lazy imports 

- Fixing GitHub Actions benchmark pipeline

Could anyone guide me if this is the right direction for my proposal?
