Hello SymPy community,
My name is Borun Li, and I am a freshman at Cornell University, double-majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics & Economics.
This semester, by taking the course Mathematical Foundations in Computer Science at Cornell, I've developed a strong interest in applying math to the CS field. Beyond in-school coursework, my personal project requires the use of NumPy, which further increases my interest in combining math with CS. Therefore, realizing that the SymPy community comprises a group of enthusiasts passionate about math and CS, I would love to contribute to SymPy under the Google Summer of Code 2026.
Specifically, I have a strong interest in the idea of improving series expansions and limit computations. Currently, I'm working on becoming familiar with SymPy and exploring the codebase to identify a suitable issue to work on.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to contributing and learning with SymPy.
Best regards,
Borun Li
