A slightly belated introductory post...
Level of familiarity with Python: low. Can write if-statements and loops; cannot be trusted with subclassing.
Mathematical education level: PhD. My research is in real/complex analysis, pretty far from anything CAS-related, but I am interested in the inner workings of CAS.
I regularly answer SymPy questions on Stack Overflow, so I'm generally aware of the patterns and antipatterns of its use "in the wild", as well as of particular pain points for users.

Happy to have you.
Thanks for the work on StackOverflow. I haven't been able to follow
the SymPy tag on there much recently, but in my experience,
StackOverflow is the best place to get a feel for how real users are
using SymPy.

Hi,
I am a second year undergrad at School of Engineering,Tezpur University,Assam,IN in the department of Computer Science and Engineering. Some pieces of information about me.
level of familiarity with python :- Intermediate, I have done a few projects in python like "proxy_configuration" which is a script written in python 3 for setting up system wide proxy in the Linux environment. I have also contributed to a project named "AirHockey" which is a game in python 2 written using the pygame library. I have experience in Python for more than a year and experience in c/c++ for more than 3 year's.
mathematical education level :- (undergrad level) Until now in my undergrad education I took Mathematics I,II,II which had topic like Real Analysis, Complex Analysis, Differential equations , linear algebra, statistics and probability.
particular expertise :- In computer science mainly Data Structures . Currently learning algorithms which interests me a lot.
particular algorithmic interests :- I have a lot of interest in graph algorithms and also string algorithms.
familiarity with SymPy :- (novice) But I am really interested in learning it and i have already started reading the documentation.
The above projects can be found in my Github account. Pretty exited to join this community.

Hello Folks, I am Shril Kumar, a final year undergrad at Indian Institute of Technology Dhanbad. I am pursuing my major in Mining Engineering and minor in Computer Science and Engineering.
I have completed Python for Everybody Specialization of Coursera. Certificate: Link. I am well versed in Python and I have developed Automation Solution for Nuclear Power Plant in one of my internship using Python. I have also implemented a small version of Google's PageRank in Python.
I'm familiar with Mathematics 1,2,3, Probability and Statistics, Discrete mathematics, Data structures, Linear Algebra.
I haven't used SymPy before, but have gone through the 2016 SciPy con's SymPy introduction video.
I'm new to open source, although I'm familiar with Git and Github. I'm looking forward to contributing to Sympy.
