The GitHub stacked PRs preview has been enabled on the SymPy repo. This should hopefully make it easier for situations where you need to build multiple PRs on top of each other.

Hi there,

We’re excited to onboard you to the private preview of GitHub Stacked PRs!

Stacked PRs has been enabled for all repositories under sympy.

You can find documentation and getting started guides here: https://gh.io/stacks

Regular pull requests will continue to work as they do today, so users who are not creating stacks should not see any changes.

Thank you for your interest and participation in this preview. We’re grateful to have you as an early user and would love to hear about your experience.

Please share any feedback or questions here: https://gh.io/stacks-feedback

Best,
The GitHub Stacked PRs team

Hey,

This looks like a very good feature. Unless I am understanding something wrong, this feature is for every contributors and not only for the maintainers. I tried to test this, but I receive "Stacked PRs are not enabled for this repository" when I try to open stacked PRs. Did anyone succesfully try this?

Maybe a related issue: https://github.com/github/gh-stack/discussions/197
