Hello,

I am Aditi Mavalankar and I am currently in my second year, pursuing my B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad. I would like to contribute to SymPy and take part under this organization in Google Summer of Code 2014. Could anyone suggest how to begin?

Thanking you,

Regards,

Hello Aditi,

I am Aleksandra Nowak from University of Warsaw, Poland, a Mathematics student with an interest on Computer Science and I am also interested in participating in GSoC under the mentorship of SymPy.

Have you already looked at the ideas page? I think this is the best way to begin :) If you don't have your own idea, you should read carefully through the proposed ones. If any question arise, do not hesitate to ask here. I think it can be also useful to take a look at the SymPy page.

Kind regards,
Aleksandra

Hey Aditi

I'm from IIIT Delhi, this is my first time applying too. As Aleksandra has aleady suggested, take a look at the Ideas Page. Download and play around with SymPy, and get familiar with Python if you aren't already(I doubt that though if you are 2nd year student at IIIT H :) ).

What field of mathematics are you interested in? I am really into Group Theory.

Regards
