Hi everyone

I am now to programming on Raspberry Pi and I would like to solve equations directly on the Raspberry Pi as part of a project I am currently working on. However I am not quite sure if I have to install Sympy or if it is already installed as a library on the Raspberry Pi.

Thank you for your advice.

Cheers
Dennis

to find out whether it is, open the terminal and run:
$ python -c "import sympy"
if that doesn't print an error message it's there already.
If an error message is printed, have a look here: http://docs.sympy.org/latest/install.html

If you have pip installed you may also try:
$ pip install --user sympy

If the Pi is connected to debain repos, you may be able to apt-get it:

apt-get install python-sympy
