[GSoC 2026] Request for proposal draft review – Benchmarking Project

Hi everyone,

My name is Sanskar Mittal, first year undergrad CS student from India.

I’ve been working on a GSoC proposal focused on improving the benchmarking infrastructure and performance regression detection in SymPy. Alongside this, I have been contributing to the project, including work on core logic improvements and adding benchmarks.

I’ve prepared a draft of my proposal and would really appreciate any feedback, especially on whether the proposed approach aligns well with the current direction of benchmarking in SymPy.

I'll be grateful for any feedback or discussions regarding my proposed solution and my approach or anything else this projects demands on particular that I am expected to deliver.
