Hi SymPy Community,

My name is Fares Shaaban, and I am a last year student at Faculty of science, Alexandria university. I am writing to introduce myself as an aspiring contributor for GSoC 2026.

I have a strong foundation in Python and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and have been eager to apply these skills to open-source software. To prepare for this journey, I have recently migrated my development environment to Linux Mint to better align with open-source workflows.

I am currently reading through the SymPy contribution guidelines and setting up the codebase locally. My plan is to start by tackling a "Good First Issue" to get familiar with the process.

I look forward to learning from you all and contributing to the project.

Best regards, Fares Shaaban

Hello. Good first issues are extremely sparse (there should probably be more and should be tagged as good more frequently), I would suggest you look at any number of issues (even untagged), and find the one which you can fix.
