Question regarding GSoC idea: Parsing

Hello everyone,

My name is Sai Vivek, and I’m currently a second-year B.Tech student in Computer Science at IIT Bombay .

I was going through the GSoC ideas page and was particularly interested in the idea titled “Parsing”, which focuses on SymPy’s ability to generate Python, C, and Fortran code from SymPy expressions.

Before diving deeper, I wanted to ask whether parsing is still considered an active and useful direction to work on this year, and if so, whether there are specific components or modules related to parsing and code generation that would be good starting points for new contributors.

I’m keen to begin contributing soon and would really appreciate any guidance on where my efforts would be most useful at this stage.
