Hello SymPy Community,

My name is Mahi Singhal, and I am an undergraduate engineering student with a strong interest in data-driven problem solving, Python development, and open-source software. I am eager to begin contributing to SymPy as part of my preparation for Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2026.

I have hands-on experience with Python and Git/GitHub. I have already set up the SymPy development environment, gone through the contributor documentation and tutorials, and started exploring beginner-friendly issues in the repository.

I am particularly interested in improving documentation and contributing to core features, and I am highly motivated to learn from the community and contribute meaningfully to SymPy.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance on suitable issues or areas where a new contributor like me can start effectively. Thank you for maintaining such an impactful project, and I look forward to learning and collaborating with the SymPy community.

Best regards,
Mahi Singhal
