Howdy PyDy and SymPy folks,

We are having a small one day sprint this weekend to get the PyDy website into the modern age. Some of us will be in the same physical location and others working elswhere via a Google Hangout.

Details are posted here: https://github.com/pydy/pydy/wiki/PyDy-Website-Sprint-February-2015 and new info will be posted as the date arrives.

Any and all are welcome to join.

BTW, if you are intending to apply to GSoC (which we are likely to do again this year), this would be a good time to introduce yourself and get acquainted with the project.

I would suggest deciding on a technology beforehand, so that you can jump right in and create content. Sphinx is not the greatest for writing a website. You can do it, but it's very inflexible, and you can spend days trying to get it to do some thing that you want it to do. But I don't know what's better honestly, unless you have a web developer among you.

I'm working on it :)

If we're hosting our docs at readthedocs (as Jason said on the wiki), then website will be a gallery, blog, some prose pages, and that's it. Any of the popular static site generators should be capable. I have experience with Pelican, but that seems very blog-only oriented. You can make it do other stuff, but it's not by default. Perhaps Jekyll? Or the python version Hyde? I think we just need to choose one, they all should be capable.

I'm in too.
For anyone who don't know me yet, I am a sophomore at IIIT Delhi,  New Delhi. I am in sympy community from past one year and have experience in many Web frameworks like Rails,  Django etc.
