Possible GSoC 2017 project

I have gone through the list of ideas for GSoC 2017. I would be interested to work on any one of the following projects subject to available mentors :

1.Series Expansions
2.Cylindrical Algebraic Decomposition
3.Efficient Groebner Bases and their Application.

If any mentor is interested in mentoring any of these projects , I would love to discuss a plan of action and start working on my proposal.

I think we should have someone to mentor any of them. For 1 and 3, you
may want to reach out to students and mentors that did similar
projects in previous years to see what needs to be done. For 2, I
believe there are some useful discussions on this mailing list from
last year that you should be able to find.
