Hi everyone,

My name is Harsh Gupta, a 3rd-year BCA student at Galgotias University. I’ve been using Python for backend development and am now looking to contribute to SymPy, particularly focusing on core logic and code quality improvements.

I am aiming to participate in GSoC 2026. I have successfully set up my development environment and passed the test suite locally.

As a first step to familiarize myself with the codebase, I have submitted a small PR to add type annotations to utilities/magic.py (part of the #28806 effort):
