GSoC 2016 : Series Expansion

Hi

I am a Computer Science Student in Manipal Institute of Technology , Manipal,India. I am deeply interested 

in contributing to the projects under SymPy in GSoC 2016. I was browsing through the Ideas lists and found the 

Series Expansion under Mathematics Projects covering my areas of interests.

I am currently reading book "Formal Power Series by Dominik Gruntz" as specified at the ideas page in order to understand the algorithms in order to obtain the Formal Series

I would like to know a few things about the project 

1.) What is exactly the current status of Series Expansion in Sympy?

2.) What is the expectation of the organization from the end of the program  pertaining to series expansion in Sympy ?

It would we very helpful if you brief me about the questions above . Any reply would be really helpful.

Last Year, I worked on Formal Power Series, implementing the algorithm given in the book. However, there are still some XFAIL tests. Try understanding the code. You can try to make those tests pass.
