Hi Wolter,
I suppose there are a few questions that need to be answered to determine if the physics/mechanics module would suit your needs. My first question: are the systems you are going to study statically determinate (can the reaction forces be solved for algebraically)? If the answer is no, we might have to do some additional work to make this suitable, but I won't say it's impossible.

Greetings Sympy Developers!
I am working on a mechanics simulator (similar to Autodesk ForceEffect but less dynamic) and I am interested in the mechanics module, but first I would like to know if it is ready as a backend. I have skimmed through the documentation and have seen there is good support for dynamic mechanics, but is there also support for static mechanics? i.e. is the module able to calculate a reaction force given a rigid body with force vectors applied at specific points?
Thanks for your time.
