GSoC 2026: Interest in contributing to SymPy Benchmark project .

Hello SymPy developers,

My name is Rohit Patil and I am a student from India. I am interested in contributing to SymPy and I recently read the GSoC ideas page, especially the Benchmarks and Performance project.

I have experience with Python and I focus on writing clean and readable code. I would like to start contributing to the benchmarking area and learn more about the current benchmark infrastructure used in SymPy.

Could you please guide me on where the current benchmark code is located and suggest any beginner-friendly issues related to benchmarks that I can start working on?
