Note: Even though the Dual MXD337BT is marine certified, it is still recommended that it be used with a universal marine cover (sold separately - see Accessories Tab) for further protection from the harsh marine elements.
Marine Radio Cover: The included marine radio cover further protects Dual MXD337BT digital media receiver from water-spray and the harsh marine elements. The hinged cover folds down to protect the digital media receiver and folds up to allow you to access receiver's front-panel controls, USB port, and Aux input. The supplied self-adhesive foam gasket protects the receiver from water seeping in around the frame. The marine radio cover is mounted using the four included screws and hardware. All hardware is stainless-steel and rust proof.
AM/FM Tuner: The Dual marine head unit features a built-in AM/FM tuner with manual, seek, and preset tuning. You can store up to 18 FM station presets and 12 AM station presets (manually or automatically). The Local function allows only strong radio stations to be received, blocking stations with weaker signals. You can even switch the tuner between USA or European tuning. A 40" wired AM/FM antenna is included.
MOSFET Amplifier: The Dual marine receiver is equipped with a MOSFET amplifier. Compared to conventional power supplies, the MOSFET amplification circuit is smaller and more efficient, and it delivers increased power with less distortion and absolutely zero on/off switching noise. More power means louder and cleaner music at higher volumes because you're not pushing the limits of the amplification circuit. The power output specs for the head unit are as follows:
