Title: Associative Koszul Duality
Abstract:
Koszul duality is a name given to various duality phenomena appearing in algebra, geometry, and topology typically involving derived endomorphism algebras. It forms the technical heart of the modern approach to derived deformation theory. In these lectures I will focus on the Koszul duality between associative dg algebras and coassociative dg coalgebras (also known as pseudocompact dg algebras). I'll begin by introducing dg coalgebras and the bar-cobar adjunction. Then I'll discuss comodules, coderived categories, and the module-comodule version of Koszul duality. This can be thought of as a linearisation of the full algebra-coalgebra version of Koszul duality, which I'll talk about next. Time permitting, I may discuss some of the deformation-theoretic aspects, or some of the curved theory.
