I've re-posted this with its own subject, as it was attached to
another thread earlier.

A few of us were discussing a symfony developers meetup, so I have put
together this:
http://www.meetup.com/symfony/

I've checked with the owner of the Walkabout pub in Putney, and he's
fine with the 17th of April, so I've penciled it in for then. If
someone has a better venue, just let me know and I'll change it on
consensus from others.

The walkabout pub is beside the thames, has wifi, free parking around
the side streets, and is about 13 minutes on the train from london
waterloo. It's also on the district line if you get off at Putney
Bridge and walk over the river.

Train times from waterloo: 18:58 19:01 19:07 19:15 19:22

Please RSVP on there if your coming - I'm asking that people are
symfony developers to attend, and someone post this in a more
appropriate place.

As soon as I created this meetup, a few people wanted to come that
were not symfony developers, but I will just let symfony developers
in, and allow others to come to: http://www.meetup.com/symfony-discoverers/
towards the end of the meetup. That way they don't feel totally left
out, and we can just keep this group to the developers.

RSVP here:

I'm interested in coming along, although I can't make this particular
event.

However, can I just clarify that by "symfony developers" you mean
"developers who happen to use symfony" rather than "people who develop the
symfony core"?

Thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt, Yes, your assumption is correct, its for PHP developers who
use symfony for creating websites, but people who develop the symfony
core are of course more than welcome too. It's not a monthly event at
this stage - unless we gain enough interest.
OK, we'll see you another time then.

Nathan

Hi Nathan and all,

I'll be along tomorrow as well. Do they do food at the pub?

Hi Guys,

I won't be coming now, 4 hours on a train on a Friday evening isn't appealing!

Have a good one, and see you at another event.

Hi All,

Train times for tonight from waterloo (about a 13 minute journey):
18:58 19:01 19:07 19:15 19:22

I think they do food at the pub but maybe only some nights, but it is
on the high st so KFC, GBK, Kababs etc are close by. I know the owner
and I'm sure he won't mind you bringing it upstairs as it's just us up
there.

For those who can't make it because of distance, we will talk about
where the next one can be on the night, this venue is a start, but
we'll move it around when someone suggests and books another time and
venue for the next one.

See you tonight, and don't forget to register/RSVP at http://meetup.com/symfony
