Hi All,

thanks for the meeting last night. There were 12 people who joined the
Symfony meetup downstairs at the Mulberry Bush pub.

We opened the discussion by asking each person to answer two questions:
a) what is your connection with Symfony?
b) what do you hope to get from meeting with other Symfony developers?

The answers to (a) divided roughly evenly into:
i) people using symfony for an in-house project, typically a
web-2.0 startup, or a company whose business relies heavily on
services provided via the web.
ii) people working in agencies who use symfony for client projects
iii) beginners wanting to get help with learning symfony

Answers to (b) included:
* learn from other's experiences
* have a drink
* share own experiences
* build a community around symfony

We then went on to list out some topics which we'd like to discuss,
both on the mailing list and at meetups, in no particular order:

* Stucturing of libraries and helpers
* Adoption rate of sf1.1
* How do you customise admin generator?
- how to deal with nested objects?
* Testing - unit and functional
* Deployment strategies
* Performance optimisation
* What do you most hate / love
* Tutorials for 1.1
* Propel
* Size of symfony, knowing about all classes (e.g. sfToolkit)
* Where can symfony be improved
* Plugins (what do people recommend)

We also did a straw poll on meetup times. There were quite a lot of
people who had travelled a fair distance to get to london, and it
seemed that they preferred the meetup to remain as a session at the
PHP London. Others based in london seemed more happy to have a
separate meetup on a different night. There wasn't a definite decision
on this although it was also suggested that we could try running both
and see how it goes.
