Hello Symfony World!

Not much has changed in the last few days! So far we have chosen a
day, January 22-24th, We have decided to open registration on December
1, and we have obtained a few new sponsors. The response from the
community and sponsors has been strong, and I am sure support will
grow as it comes together. A few ideas have made it to me so here they
are, and as usual any feedback is appreciated.

symfonyshowdown.com/ideas - A page where the general public can come
and post ideas about what they would like to see built or web apps
they think the world is missing

Open sourcing the showdown website - I will do this, but post
showdown. Can't be too careful

having a script on the servers that will parse the plugins directory,
and record the plugins each team is using. this will provide info
after the Showdown on what the popular plugins are, etc.

Finally, I am not waiting on the design for the homepage. I hope we
will get it soon, and I am sure it will be amazing. centre{source} is
providing the design, and as we all remember, they won the jobeet
design competition!
