Dear SD followers,
let me report two advances:
First, the paper
> H.-G. Gräbe: The SymbolicData Project in a Computer Algebra Social Network Perspective. Some Architectural Considerations.
was not accepted for presentation at the "Projects and Surveys" section
of CICM-16. See
https://github.com/symbolicdata/publications/blob/master/Papers/Reviews/cicm-16-reviews.txt
for a complete record of the review process.
The conference organizers propose
> Note that CICM 2016 has a "Work-in-Progress" Track which may be suitable for
> your paper. Papers accepted there will be presented and discussed at the
> conference and included in a special proceedings volume (most probably
> CEUR-WS).
>
> You are invited to re-submit your paper there by easychair until May 20.
> Notification will be June 6. and final versions are due June 29.
but I'm neither motivated nor have time to sit down for the work to be
done to realize that opportunity. I will also not attend CICM-16 but
concentrate on two other conferences (see below). Nevertheless I think
that there is a good chance to present the matter at the "Work in
Progress" section and have a publication in the CEUR volume (as we had
two years ago). So if volunteers are out there to take over the baton
... you find the LaTeX source of the paper in our github repo.
Second: I just finished an "extended abstract" (i.e., more or less a
full paper)
Semantic-aware Fingerprints of Symbolic Research Data.
to be presented at the ICMS 2016 Session: Information Services for
Mathematics: Software, Services, Models, and Data.
http://www.emis.de/data/community/icms_s14.html
Please find more about that at the publications section
http://wiki.symbolicdata.org/Publications in our wiki.
Together with Wolfram Sperber (ZBMath, Berlin) I'm involved in the
organization of two sessions, one at ICMS 2016, July 11-14 in Berlin
(as Wolfram's consultant, see above) and another session
> Information services for mathematical software, models, and research data
at ACA 2016, Aug. 1-4 in Kassel (as cochair).
http://www.emis.de/data/community/aca_2016_information_services.html
So feel free to join the sessions, the discussions out there or even to
contribute to the ACA session (we plan to have a strong discussion round
table to pursue the social contacts between the different volunteer
groups to look for synergies and join forces).
Best regards, Hans-Gert
