Ghost 64 and 64 bit system

I have been using Norton Ghost for years.
Norton Ghost15 can backup Vista or Win7 64 bit system/files to another
drive. BUT, it will not restore the system as a working one using the
Recovery Disk.
Before ordering the v15 version, I would like to know it will restore
to a working system when recovery is initiated from within
Windows 64 bit (with necessary reboot) ?
(I assume working backups can be created either from within Windows 64
bit or the Recove.)
