Please Help! WinFax PRO 10.02 pings

When I try to send a fax with WinFax PRO, the program dials the number but,
then, just pings consistently (ping..ping..ping..ping..ping...) & never
makes the connection. >>When I try the fax # with the telephone, it
connects correctly. Can someone tell me how to get the fax program to
complete the connection?
