Configuration Information:
Version: pcANYWHERE32 8.0
Operating system: Windows NT 4.0 SP3

hello all,
i just installed PCAnywhere v8.02 build 220 on an HP netserver and
the system crashes on boot time.
I tried the "vga only" boot, but it doesnt work.
The only way is to boot with the "last known configuration" and
un-install pc-anywhere.
The system uses a Diamond S3 Virge vga card instead of its original
256k vga.
the same installation worked in several Win95/98/NT pc's.

computer description:
HP Netserver LS/100
96MB ram, 2 Micropolis hard disks, 3com eisa ethernet card, Digiboard
XEM Eisa card with 16 serial ports.
WinNT4/SP3 fresh installation.

thank you in advance,

george

Is this a dual or multiprocessor system? If it is, the following document
from our Knowledge Base provides the registry settings for the
ProcessorMask entry used with pcANYWHERE32.

Document Title: Slow or Partial Screen Refreshes on a Multi-Processor
(SMP) Host

URL: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/pca.nsf/docid/199861984643

If the issue continues, confirm that the latest video driver from the
manufacturer has been applied to the system. If this doesn't help, shut
down any programs or services that are running and see if this helps out.

Good luck and please let me know if the issue continues.

Thanks for sending the information. Please let me know if the on-board VGA
card corrects this issue.
