I am trying to install pcAnywhere 7.5 on a Compaq Deskpro. I have
used the same installation disks to install pcAnywhere on a computer
that we know longer use. I am prompted for a computer name but am
not allowed to change it. The default name is from the previous
computer. The installation does not seem to complete. How can
change the computer name?

Unfortunately, the only workaround to this issue is to change the computer
name to match the one that is on the pcA32 7.5 diskette. This has been
changed with pcANYWHERE32 version 8.0. Also, pcANYWHERE32 version 7.5 was
discontinued over a year ago, and is no longer supported by pcANYWHERE
Technical Support. However, you can still obtain support for this version
from extensive online documentation in our Knowledge Base. This Knowledge
Base can be found at the following web page:

If you are interested in downloading a 30-day trial version of pcANYWHERE
8.0 click the following URL:

Good luck and please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
