Version: pcANYWHERE32 8.0
Operating system: Windows NT 4.0

Does the Gateway support mutiple modems for incoming calls? For
example can I have a modem attached to COM1 and COM2 or better yet
set up a digiboard with 8 or more modems?

Also, I would like some users accessing hosts thru the Gateway to get
a "callback". Is this possible with the host directing the gateway
to callback the remote user? If not, if I have a modem attached
locally to the host will it perform the callback?

If the Digiboard is TAPI compliant, then it will work with pcANYWHERE32.
If it is not, it is not supported with pcA32. Also, the pcANYWHERE gateway
can only wait on one modem, thus, using two modems through the gateway is
not supported. One thing to note about the pcANYWHERE32 gateway is that it
supports only one gateway connection per session. Multiple users or
devices cannot be used simultaneously.

Some things to keep in mind about a pcANYWHERE gateway is that:

* The gateway cannot run on the same PC as the host or remote.

* The pcANYWHERE32 gateway only provides services for pcANYWHERE.

* Only one gateway can be active on a PC at a time. Multiple gateways can
be active on the network at the same time.

* The gateway is only a traffic agent on the network. The gateway does not
participate in the actual validation of the connection between the remote
and the host (or Online Service). Consequently, the gateway itself cannot
have a password. The host PC tracks all passwords.

The following document from our Knowledge Base provides step-by-step
instructions on configuring a pcANYWHERE gateway:

A pcANYWHERE32 gateway does not support the callback feature. When a
remote connects to a pcA32 gateway the gateway displays a list of host
names and requires the remote user to connect to a specified host. This
will cause the remote to disconnect after a certain amount of time, thus,
the connection will not be established. The pcANYWHERE32 gateway is only
supported when directly connecting to a host.

Good luck and please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
