Whenever I try to connect to one particular host, it gets past the
Waiting... to the Connecting... window, which is only up for a second, then
it closes and just restores the pcAnywhere main window (with the list of
hosts to access). It never gets to asking me for a login or password.

I have tried connecting the computers directly with only a switch in
between, all firewalls turned off, and it still fails in exactly the same
way.

The host has 2 NIC's plus a 1394 port. I have pcAnywhere running over the 2
NIC's (one is for internal access and one is to access over the Internet).
Access via both NIC's has the same problem. The host also has 2 monitors and
runs the primary monitor at 1920 X 1440 resolution. Neither of these has
ever been a problem in the past and quick tests seem to indicate they are
not related to the current problem.

There are no other network problems between these computers. They share
files, synchronize offline files, etc. with no problems. The built-in
Windows Remote Desktop also works fine.

I'm using pcAnywhere version 11. The same client is able to access 2 other
hosts, running 10.5, with no problem.

I can't find anything in the Knowledge Base that describes this problem.
I've used other versions of pcAnywhere for years and never had any problems
in the past.

Please help.

Thanks,
Colin
