I'm running PCAnywhere 10.5 on a "Host" and "Remote" system. Both
systems are running Windows 2000 Professional. Modems are used for the
connection between the 2 systems.

I want to create an automated file transfer process (initiated by the
Remote system upon connect) that uploads files from the Host to the
Remote system.

I've created a Host session - I selected PCAnywhere authentication - and
also a Remote session - and have entered the appropriate user/pass in
the Remote session's configuration.

When a user - any user - is logged into the Host system and the Remote
system dials up the Host and connects, the file transfer happens and no
interactive authentication is requested. The credentials entered into
the Remote session during configuration are used and accepted.

Perfect!

BUT ... if no user is logged in on the Host system, when the Remote
system connects, and before any file transfer happens, an authentication
window pops up on the Remote system.

This is preventing me from automating the process.

I need to get around this interactive authentication request to be able
to automate the transfer process - I cannot assume that a user will be
logged in on the Host system when I call it up to upload the files.

Is it possible?
