pcANYWHERE32 8.0 can change its port addresses to accommodate a different
TCP and UDP port. Its registered ports are 5631 and 5632. However, if these
are changed, Symantec Technical Support considers this unsupported, and may
not offer further assistance in troubleshooting the connection. There is no
telling what other programs may be using these ports, and connections over
the Internet could further complicate the situation.

There are several registry keys that need to be added to both the remote
and host. The following steps will walk you through adding these keys:

1. Run the Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE) on the remote computer.

2. Edit the key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\pcANYWHERE\CurrentVersion\System

3. Create a DWORD value with the name of TCPIPDataPort.
4. Assign it the value you want the TCP data port to be (hexadecimal). The
default TCP port address is 15FF.
5. Then create another DWORD value with the name of TCPIPStatusPort.
6. Assign it the value you want the UDP data port to be (hexadecimal). The
default UDP port address is 1600.
7. Finally, create a third DWORD value with the name of TCPIPNetBroadcast.
8. Assign it the value of 1 (decimal).
9. Close the Registry Editor. The changes should take effect immediately.
If they do not, reboot the computer.
10. Follow steps 1 through 6 on the host. The host does not require the
TCPIPNetBroadcast DWORD. When you are finished, close the host's Registry
Editor.

For more information on adding or changing registry keys, I recommend the
following document that is available on our Knowledge Base:

Good luck and please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
