Hello,
I just experienced the following:
While ACT was running, Windows NT crashed. I am the administrator of
a multiuser database, and now I can no longer lock the database. ACT
says I'm already logged in, however it can't log me out (waits
indefinitely).
I tried to give somebody else administrative rights, and see whether
he could log me out, but he couldn't do that either.
Are there any lock files I could delete manually?
Thanks,
Jaco Schoonen

Hi Jaco
In a multi-user database you will have .LCK file and possibly Tlx
files if the database is involved in synchronization.
I would use the ACTDIAG (ACTDIAG.EXE) located in the ACT folder to
delete remove the .LCK and all indexes for this database. Once removed
close ACTDIAG, open ACT! and the database you should get a login,
login as an administrator, the database will be repaired.
