Configuration Information:
Operating system: Windows NT 4.0
Network: Novell Netware

I am the administrator of a shared database which resides on out
network. Copies of the Act have been copied to a location on the
network which I have full rights to. However, when I attempt to edit
Design Layouts, I receive: Access to (network
drive)\act4.0\layout\alternat.cly. (This is the original location
where the program was installed)

Is there a system file which needs to be changed which would allow
me to edit the Design Layout?

Thanks
Deborah

Hi Deborah,

Select Edit > Preferences and click the General tab, on the right
click the down arrow for File Type and select layouts, in Location you
can now change the path to where the files currently reside.

We appreciate your use of Online Services.
