Two individuals in our firm recently got Palm Pilots and they
followed the instructions that came with it to synch with ACT. [FYI,
we have a shared Act 3.0 database on the network and everyone runs
Act locally.] I began noticing problems in the database shortly after
they synched, such as, some of the codes in the ID/Status field
changed to read "unfiled". Also, phone numbers exported from the
database to the Palm Pilot are being reimported with the numbers
missing. I was going through the install CD for Act 4.0 and noticed
the Palm Pilot Link, is this the problem? If so, does the Admin
install it and modifies the user information or does it get installed
onto the Palm Pilot users' PC?
Also I do I fix the problem with the synching? Thanks.
