Locate the WINFAX\DATA directory and move the STATUS*.* files out of this
directory (you can also delete them if you don't require them)
Then, reinstall WinFax PRO.
When started, WinFax should no longer try to dial or engage the modem since
the logs will be cleared.
If another device requires the modem, you can disable auto-receive by
clicking on the yellow icon (controller) on your task bar.
You can also disable (exit) the Controller here.
Hope this helps,
Sincerely,
Eric C [Symantec]

Configuration Information:
Operating system: --Other--
I have installed WinFax 8.0 on my IBM ThinkPad with a 3Com/Megahertz
network/modem card. I'm running Window 95 operationg system. The
first time I tried to send a fax with 6 pages, it failed to send and
took over the modem and I could not use it until I un-installed the
WinFax program. I've tried several time to delete the pages I tried
to send and re-install the program but it does the same thing.
Therefore, I cannot use your program. Is there something I can do to
erase the files or reference to the files so I can re-install the
program and not have it lock me out of using the modem for my E-mail
connection?
