I do not have a 98 CD as windows 98 was pre installed, I do have my old 95
CD and would like to know if it is possible to install Exchange and
Microsoft Fax from the 95 CD in to Windows 98.

Any help please, rob...@lineone.net or post to this group, Thanks.

Lets try to get you some help here, no way to get from 95 disk
unless you want to extract file by file out of the cabinets. There
is no option in add/remove programs. On the outside chance
that there is a copy of the cd in your hard drive then read this
article at microsoft Q191492.

If your pc was preloaded then all the install files should be on your hdd
somewhere. I don't believe you can install from the 95 cd. I would look
around on my hdd for a directory called win98 or something to that effect.
If you go to the "Add/Remove Software" in the control panel and try to add
the exchange and whatever else then it might automatically point to the
location.
Good Luck

Although Windows 98 is preloaded you still should have been given either a
systems disk or Windows 98 with other programs for your new computer. When
Windows 95 or 98 is preloaded it usually can be found in the
Windows\Options\Cab folder of the C drive.

Use the Find Files or Folders to see if you can locate the files WMS.EXE and
AWFAX.EXE on either your C drive or the Systems Disk provided with your
computer. Be sure to read the Readme file too before installing the program.
The best suggestion I can give is to restart after the install of each of
the programs even if you're not prompted to do so.
