The files in the Winfax directory can of course be copied and
transferred one way or another, but there are many files it probably put
into the windows/system directory and other places, as well as other
modules it probably uses which are normally in windows.
Is there any way to identify all of these files so that they can be
included in the transfer? Or is there a way to transfer the whole thing
with all the trimmings all at once?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Do a complete back up (from file menu) save to floppy disk.
Export your whole phonebook(s) to a text file. Save any custom coverpages to
a separate file as well, any attachments you may need.
Go to Symantec site download trial version to computer (some features are
disabled in the trial version), import phonebooks and coverpages.
NOTE: Restore from backup will not work with different version, yet
importing files is not a problem.
At the same time I contacted Symantec to send me a replacement disk, it took
about 5 days to receive.
Uninstall trial version.
Install from new disk, and ran restore of my backup again.
