I recently installed Talkworks Pro (version 2.03) and up till now I've
been impressed by the possibilities and strength of the program.
One of the options I can't seem to get working properly is the use of
my computersystem as speakerphone; it should be possible to use the
microphone and soundcard to make telephonecalls, in stead of using a
regular telephone.
I have a Sportster Flas modem with the latest firmware update. The
manual of the modem, as well as Talkworks Pro, say it supports the
speakerphone. When I try it, it doesn't though: I can't hear anything
and the party on the opposite of the phoneline doesn't hear anything
either.
When I prerecord messages everything goes fine; the answering machine
therefore works fine, but it would be nice if I could get the
speakerphone to work too.
Does anybody have any experience on this. Are there people out there
who use the same combination and dit get Talkworks Pro and the
Sportster Flas modem to work ?
I looked in the knowledge base at the symantec site, but couldn't find
anything there. I suspect is has something to do with the modem, since
the modem itself has connectors for external microphone and speakers
(I did not hook up a microphone or speakers to the modem, since I want
to make calls from the computer, not from the modem).
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I crossposted this message to 4
newsgroups in order to enhance my chances for a meaningful response.
If you have a suggestion, would you be so kind as to reply on this
post and send me an e-mail at moes...@writeme.com ?
