I have Winfax V7. The modem setup is set to Auto receive at all times. The
CommBar is run as a startup program, and the the "Use CommBar to receive
faxes automatically" option is checked. Sometimes it works as it should,
autoreceiving incoming fax calls; however, sometimes it does not
autoreceive. When I open Winfax under such "non-receiving" circumstances,
even though the modem setup is still set to Autoreceive at all times, The
Receive -> Automatic Receive option is not ticked. When this Receive ->
Automatic Receive option is ticked, then the Auto Receive once again works
as it should for some time, before it again stops working. This, naturally
makes the CommBar and Winfax Auto Receive function unreliable. The modem is
configured as a TAPI port., which I prefer, so that I can keep the CommBar
loaded whilst using the modem for other uses (eg: Internet).

Any ideas what is causing the problem? Any cures? Will the problem go away
if I upgrade to Winfax 8.
