** I am having the same problem on Win98 on a new Gateway Pentium 333
that I just got. The fixes listed in tech pages did not help it. **

I'm seeing same problem plus one more.

Problem 1, the phone is not answered the second time, after one voice
message has been received.

Problem 2, cannot play the message. Error states "The attached file
is not a valid wav. file. It cannot be openned". This problem
started after re-installation.

Operating system: Windows 98, have just upgraded. No problem before
the upgrade. Re-installed WinFax Pro and no change.

System: AMD K6-2 300 3D, 64mb ram, lots of disc space.

Note: I'm running FAT32. Did not test Talkworks with Win98 FAT16.
Also, I didn't upgrade from a previous version of WinFax Pro.
Current version is 8.03.

Thanks for the help. Otherwise, after buying 2 Symantec products,
I'm very impressed.

Shane, what kind of modem are you using with Talkworks?

Did you also reinstall the modem and update the driver. Make sure you
exit Windows and let it redetect the modem, then install the driver.

Boot in Safe Mode. Remove all COM ports and then all modems. Boot
back
in Normal Mode, and let Windows 95 install the modem, being sure to
use
the correct latest INF file. The configure the Modem Properties in
WinFax.

If your modem is configured properly in Windows, Winfax will also
recognize it.
