The firewall will need to free port addresses 5631 and 5632 to allow
pcANYWHERE32 to connect through it. If it still does not work, can the
remote PING the host's IP address? If not, then you may not be able to
connect through the firewall to the host.

For more information on configuring a firewall to be used with
pcANYWHERE32, I recommend the following document that is available on
our Knowledge Base:

Please let us know if these recommendations do not resolve the issue.

Configuration Information:
Version: pcANYWHERE32 8.0
Operating system: Windows 95 OSR2

I have a customer with a MediaOne Express connection to the Internet,
and a steady IP address, who wishes to access her office computer.
The office OS is NW411 patched to IWSP5B, running Novell Border
Manager.
The network uses an ISP assigned static address, and I currently use
a 10.10.10.255 scheme on the private interface. The public interface
is configured for dynamic NAT, the private interface has NAT
disabled. Inside addresses are currently assigned using DHCP, though
assigning static addresses would not be a problem
All the clients on the inside are using IPX-SPX and NWIP, they use
the IP-IP gateway for outgoing Web access, and disable the gateway
for access to an FMPro database hosted on the same ISP subnet.
So far I've had no success in either her home computer connecting
remotely via her web connection, or her network computer connecting
out of the network to her home computer. I have tried specifying her
remote IP address from her network computer with the gateway both
enabled and disabled, and can ping her address with no problem.

I suspect I'm missing something obvious here.

Thanks in advance for your help'
