I have a question concerning SPX performance under Win98 using the
Microsoft Netware Client. We upgraded from Win3.1 to Win98 and in
the process switched from the Novell client to the Microsoft client.
We also upgraded to pca8. There has been a substantial performance
down-turn and I am leaning toward blaming the Microsoft client. I
have tuned the connections as per Symantec's recommendations to no
avail. The connections are made on a dedicated 56k leased line that
2 (maybe 3) people share for pca sessions. The line is NOT used for
anything else. The interactive response is extremely poor. Users
typically have to wait for typed text to catch up with them.
Has anyone else had experience with Microsoft Novell client
performance issues?

Using TCP/IP is a better, more robust protocol. Using it could make
the difference for you. I recommend trying it to see if that helps.
Otherwise, we will pick up the issue where we left off. Good luck.
