By definition, pcANYWHERE32 is a remote control product. This enables
it to take control of another computer remotely. If you are only
wanting to view what is occurring on the host, then you will want to
have the host disable the remote's keyboard and mouse. Effectively,
this puts it into "view only" mode.
The following steps describe how to disable the keyboard and mouse
from being active on the remote while it is in a session:
1. From the main window of pcANYWHERE32, click on Be A Host PC.
2. Right click on the host icon that you want to use, such as MODEM.
3. Click on Properties.
4. Click on the Settings tab.
5. In the In Session box on the upper right side of the Settings tab,
change the Keyboard/Mouse active during session so that it is set to
Host.
6. Click on the OK button.
The remote user will then not be able to use the keyboard or mouse.
There are no hot keys or macro keys for ending the session. The remote
user will need to close pcANYWHERE32, or click the End Session button
on the toolbar. However, if you have the remote's keyboard and mouse
disabled (see above), then moving the mouse locally will not be seen
by the host user, so you should be able to end the session without
them knowing so.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. Thanks.
