We have a document that may assist you with this installation error.
Please review the document and let us know if it does not assist you
in fixing the problem. The document is located at:

The above referenced document applies to installation to Windows NT
4.0. I'm running Windows 95 and the solution does not work for me.
When trying to install from CD-rom disk I get 0% complete along with
above noted error message. Help!

Okay, make sure that there are no files left from the previous
attempts to install pcANYWHERE32. Delete the folder c:\program
files\pcanywhere from your hard drive if it exists and also delete all
*.TMP files on the hard drive. Then I would like you to run scan disk
and defrag on your machine then make sure that there is nothing else
running that may interfere with the install process. For information
on clean booting, please read the following document located at:

Title: 'How to Prevent Applications from Launching via the Windows 95
Registry'

Try installing again to your local C: drive and see what happens.

Good luck and be well.

First, if you run defrag and it tells you it cannot defragment a
portion of the drive and you should run scandisk, but scandisk finds
no errors, you have a potentially serious problem. I would take the
computer to a consultant to have this issue resolved before continuing
to try and install software.

The run keys on your desktop can be deleted once you have imported
them back into your registry.
