I have a customer with following configuration:
- 10 PC's
- running OSR2
- TCP/IP
- ethernet 10baseT (HUB)
- "Peer to Peer"
- WebRamp Entre' ISDN "dial on demand" connection to ISP at office
- all users can assess Internet by clicking on browser(out bound)
This user now wants:
- Using existing home 3COM 128K Sportster call office WEBRAMP ENTRE'
"directly" (without going through the Internet) on first SPID and
connect using pcAnywhere to HOST session pcAnywhere on his desktop
allowing full access to his program on his office desktop PC
- Second SPID to be simultaneously available to second pcAnywhere
session to second (and different) PC at the office, again with FULL
access to office desktop
Question?
1 - possible?
2 - configuration information if possible
note: ISDN connection at office is NOT "nailed" to ISP - user refuses
connection in this manner in any event
Don...
Thank you for using our online discussion groups.
On the first question: the 3COM/USR Sportster 128K ISDN modem is not
supported with pcANYWHERE32. This ISDN adapter only supports a synchronous
connection and pcANYWHERE requires an asynchronous connection.
On the second question: only one remote control connection is supported per
session. Though a single host does support multiple connections, only the
first user connected has remote control functionality. All other users can
only view the connection.
I hope this helps out. If I can be of further assistance, please let me
know.
