Hello Wayne,

Thank you for posting to the technical support forum.

The network install of pcANYWHERE is for users who own the network
license pack for 5 or 10 additional user licenses as well as the full
version of pcANYWHERE32 v8.0. In this manner, a central pcANYWHERE32
administrator could install the pcANYWHERE32 files up onto the network
server, configure the installation, then add the license pack so that
other users could run pcANYWHERE32 from the network.

When on a pee to peer network, all users would need to see the same drive
letter for the pcANYWHERE network drive.

The above situation does not seem to be what you are describing. You
will want to stay with the standalone installations of pcANYWHERE32.

pcANYWHERE uses the network that has been setup. It does not create a
network. (We drive the bus across the bridge, we don't build the
bridge.)

What network protocol are you attempting to use with pcANYWHERE32?
NetBIOS/NetBEUI? TCP/IP? Whose network Client are you using?

Please give me a little more input and I'll try to give you a resolution
to the connectivity problem.

Thank you,

Tom:

I did get the system to work with TCP/IP but never was able to get
the NetBEUI to work. I did change the Maximum Sessions to 60 and
NCBS to 40 as the instructions advised. The workgroup name never
would show up on computers available list (blank). Any suggestions
would be appreciated. I would rather not use the TCP/IP. It is
being used for internet connection and WinGate 2.1d. I am using the
NetBEUI for our internal use with file sharing. My network has
following: Client for Microsoft Networks; Adapters-3-com nic card,
dial up, 2nd dial up(VPN), VPN adapter; Proticols-3-com software,
NTISWAN VPN, NetBEUI for nic card, Dial-up VPN, TCP-IP for Nic Card,
Dial up, and Dial Up VPN; and File & print sharing.
