TAPI error message

Has a modem been installed on the system? If it has, confirm that it is
operating correctly under HyperTerminal. If the same issue occurs with
Windows HyperTerminal, remove and reinstall the modem on the system.

If the issue continues, obtain the following document from our Knowledge
