I'm having problems connecting, through PcAnywhere, from my Dynalink modem
to the Dynalink modem of a client of mine. Both are 56k using V.90 and using
the same initstring (AT &FB0X4&C1W1&D2 also tried AT &F&C1&W&W1&Y). When
connecting the calling modem detects a connection while the other modem is
still making all sorts of noises for a few seconds before detecting a
connection. After connecting no communication is taking place and pcanywhere
exitst the connection after about 30 to 60 seconds.

Can anyone help me.

TIA
Jurjen de Groot.

In article <7pkdcn$450$1...@news1.xs4all.nl>, jdg...@xs4all.nl says...
It would help to know the operating systems on the host and remote machines
and versions of pcA you are using. If using Win9x, you shouldn't normally be
entering an initialization string.

You sure you have your security settings the way you want and are using the
right machine name and password?

BTW, you won't get v.90 connections between individual machines using pcA for
remote control, just v.34 at best. Gary E
