I have abandoned efforts to use Public Key / Private Key encryption
because you do not have any support for this method of encryption and
have attempted to use Symmetric Encryption and I am running into the
following messages and problems.
Even though my HOST is configured not to allow any lower encryption
level, when I call my host from my remote I get a message that
PCanywhere host wants pcanywere encryption, a lower encryption.
Was Symmetric used to login my remote, and then it switched to
pcanywhere (which is OK), or is symmetric not working and does not
work as easily as I have been led to believe.
Again, all I care about is that the encryption prevents others from
easily getting into the system. If the encryption level switches
during the session to an easier encryption after screening who is
logging in that is OK.
However, you previously told me that when I got that message for
Public Key encryption, it meant that I was never used the higher
encryption and went directly to pcAnywhere encryption.
Please advise and respond to this post that was previously submitted
last week.
Thank you.
