If the host is in use by the remote, I would not recommend the host
user continue using it. This would be difficult, if not impossible.
This is because the remote is controlling the host, by using the
keyboard, mouse, and video. What ever the remote does, the host sees
it, and visa versa. So, if the remote user was in, for example, Word,
but the host user wanted to go into Excel, they could not both
simultaneously do different things. Think of it as two people trying
to use one computer at once.

If the host is not being used, but is only in the Waiting mode, then
the host user could continue to use the host without interruptions,
until the remote connected to it.

If you only want to provide the ability to share data files, then a
network connection or Dial-Up Networking may better suite those
requirements.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. Thanks.
