Configuration Information:
Version: pcANYWHERE32 8.0
Operating system: Windows 95a

I am using PC Anywhere 32 version 8.1 over an ISDN line from a W95
with 128Mb to a networked W95 with 64Mb. I have a Teles ISDN card and
have tried upgrading to latest drivers and screen drivers.

When I began six months ago I had host set not to reboot on
disconnection as I wanted to leave things running. Problem was that
after a period from 10 mins to 1 hour host fails to respond even
though traffic still passing according to ISDN monitor. Consequently
rebooting remote failed to solve as host still running and doesnt
answer.

After many attempts to get an answer from support line I was
eventually told there was a recognised problem with the Teles card
and there was no current fix.

I have been managing since by having host set to reboot on
disconnection. Every time it hangs (average 30 mins) I reboot remote
and reconnect. This is very irritating but at least I can work. Its
also expensive as I have to stay connected while jobs run on host.
Main problem though is with large file transfers as anything over
about 100Mb cannot be achieved and often much smaller transfers fail.

My question is has this bug been fixed yet? Would upgrading to 8.2
work?

Hello John,

Thank you for using our online discussion groups.

What CAPI driver version are you using with the Teles ISDN adapter?
We have tested successfully the following CAPI drivers with the Teles
ISDN adapter: 3.17e, 3.22, and 3.23i

If you are not using one of these versions of its CAPI driver, we
recommend contacting Teles to obtain it. This should resolve any
issues when using it with pcANYWHERE32.

For more information, please see our Knowledge Base article described
this at:

TELES 16.3 ISDN Card and pcANYWHERE32 Versions 7.5 and 8.0 (Europe)

Please let us know if this recommendation does not resolve the issue.
